Winter is long in Minnesota. While I love the cozy vibes, now that I have two little boys under the age of two, I find that I need a break from picking up toys for the twelfth time of the day and sweeping yet another pile of cracker crumbs, and my toddler needs to be able to run, exert energy, and play with other kids. I can struggle to know where to go and what to do. Costco has been a favorite of both mine and my toddler's, we like to wander around and look for samples, (because who doesn't like free snacks?) I needed some more variety though so I started looking for other ideas.
Here are four fun things to do with toddlers and young children in the St. Cloud area:
Rainbow Midwest
Pay to Play ($8 per kid, under 12 mos is free)
This place is a lot of fun! But it's better for kids 2 years old and older who can take full advantage of the play equipment. There is a large room full of impressive wooden play equipment, complete with slides and swings, a trampoline, a picnic table, and basketballs for the kids to have free-range!
They also have a room that can be used for birthday parties.

KinderGym
For smaller children, (like mine) KinderGym is a great option!
KinderGym is a parent supervised gym in Whitney Recreation Center for toddlers and preschool aged children.
Typically available on Tuesdays, Thursday, and Fridays from 9-11 am for the very affordable price of $2.25 per child. The gym provides play equipment, balls, hula hoops, and other toys so that energetic littles can get their wiggles out.

Coffee date!
You can finish off your energetic morning with a coffee date at Kinder Coffee Lab. Not only do they have friendly service, and delicious chocolate cookies to accompany your coffee - but they also treat your little one to their own miniature frothed milk drink when you purchase your own!
Great River Regional Library
If you're looking for a quieter way to spend your morning, try the library! This is a resource I often overlook, but it is a favorite childhood memory that I want to be intentional about incorporating into my boys' lives.
You can settle down in their children's area and read aloud or check out their event schedule online to see when their read aloud program is and you can enjoy cuddling your little one and letting someone else take a turn reading!

Telling your story one image at a time.
The birth of my first baby is what lit the fire under me to help other families capture their own lives - From crazy toddler antics to tender in-betweens, these are the moments that I cherish with my own family.
As a mom to two under two, I am accustomed to the joyful chaos of young families and like to bring a relaxed approach to your photo session that encourages children to have fun and show their true personalities instead of forcing them to smile unnaturally on command.
