Mommy and Me Mini Session
an ordinary mother with her children in the midst of motherhood is one of the most beautiful things in the world
This time isn't about lots of posing and cheesing at the camera - It is about creating and capturing beautiful moments for you with your sweet babies in the lovely and natural setting of a local flower farm.
This means that I will set you and your little ones up in flatter light and poses and then encourage interactions, perhaps cuddling, tickling, playing a game of telephone, or playing ring-around-the-rosie - As you play and snuggle your little ones, I will be photographing all the while capturing those beautiful and priceless moments.
Please take the time to choose an outfit you love to wear as part of this session experience! As part of preparing you for your mini session, I'll make sure to provide helpful tips on choosing a flattering outfit (I personally love flowy long dresses, they photograph so beautifully and add a dreamy and feminine touch to any session.)
As an extra pampering touch, professional makeup artist, Lizzy, or Lizzy Lea Makeup Artistry will be onsite providing touchups and false lashes as part of the experience.

Hi, my name is Susannah!
There are too many beautiful little moments to motherhood to let them pass by undocumented.
I am wife to my hardworking hubby, mama to two sweet little boys, lover of photographs, and family photographer in Saint Cloud, Minnesota.
I have always been a feeler, lover of words, language, music, and emotion. Telling the beautiful story of family through photography as a lifestyle photographer resonates with me on a deeply personal level.
The way a mother holds her child, the loving glances between husband and wife over the head of their tiny newborn, the toddler clutching his mother's hand and peering up at her from beneath his tousled curls - These are such precious moments that help tell the story of each family and their love for one another.
I love to get to know you, the things that are special to you, the things that you want to remember, and tailoring sessions to each family to tell your story in an intentional and meaningful way.
Summer Mini Sessions
There's something so special to have the moments that I love with my little ones captured in a photo, and yet, I have so few (a ton of selfies, but those aren't really what I'm looking for when I want photos with my kids... I want pictures where I can FEEL my love for them, and see the ways they really interact with me, and I with them.) Is this you too?

With the backdrop of a beautiful local fresh cut flower farm, Sunny Mary Meadow, and the added touch of a local makeup artist Lizzy Lea Makeup Artistry on site to apply makeup touch ups and false lashes, it's going to be such a fun and special time for moms to feel pampered, and to spend precious intentional time with their children.
There is something inside us that longs to be in photos with our children, to hold the memories for the years when we can no longer hold our babies anymore.

Once your request is received, I'll draft your contract and generate your invoice - Once the retainer payment is made and the contract is signed, your spot is officially booked!

How many images are included?
A.5 digital images are included with the purchase of your 20 minute session time slot.
When will I receive my images?
A.I know you're excited! I can't wait to work on editing them for you.
I promise your photos will be ready within 2 weeks of your session.
What if I want to purchase more images?
A.Once you view your final gallery, you will have the option to purchase additional images, as well as having access to a convenient professional print store.
Who can I bring to the session?
A.Dads are so important and special too - But these mini sessions are EXCLUSIVELY motherhood sessions, so mama, find yourself an outfit that you love and brings your little ones!

What if it rains?
A.If it is looking like rain, we will move the mini session date to the rain date of June 23rd, 2024
I'll notify you of the change via text and email.
What should we wear?
A.Your session prep guide will include styling suggestions for your kids, and for yourself, and I am happy to provide personalized assistance. I personally love how flowy maxi dresses look - They are so feminine and flattering and the texture and movement photographs gorgeously!
Nice but casual clothes for little boys (like a henley t shirt and jeans) is super cute! And ruffle rompers are darling for baby girls.
What color scheme should I choose for outfits?
A.Warm earthy tones like terracota, rust, and mustard yellow work really well with my editing style. I also love neutrals (creams, browns, off-white) and jewel tones (like ruby red!)
Avoid matching, choose coordinating colors instead. Heavy on the neutrals is better than lots and lots of colors - Especially since we will be photographing around flowers, there will already be lots of other colors at play.
