Family Friendly Maryville Coffee Shop
My husband and I recently made a big trip to explore East Tennessee with our two young boys. Our mission? To determine where we would like to move our growing young family.
There were many beautiful sights that we saw along the way. I was determined to find a coffee shop that felt like home; cozy, comfortable, affordable, and delicious.
When we pulled up to Southern Grace Coffee Co we were immediately impressed by the curb appeal. Situated in an old home, the coffee shop boasted a charming covered front porch off a quiet parking lot.

As we went in, the decor was so sweet and tasteful, creating a cheerful and welcoming environment. We were warmly greeted and my husband immediately struck up a conversation with our barista. She was so kind and informative, sharing local tips and recommendations and making conversation. I explored a bit inside the coffee shop (in search of the bathroom) and discovered the cutest little playroom where our boys could play with toys while we sipped on our coffee.
The barista also let us know that behind the coffee shop was another old house that was associated with the coffee shop, they called it "The Manor" - There, we found a large fenced in yard where our toddler could safely run and explore. Inside, we found the restuarnt set up in all the different rooms of the house. My favorite was the library, with wall to wall bookshelves, and cozy seats to have meetings, parties, or a casual family breakfast.
As we looked over the menu, I realized that everything was gluten free. Having been raised with a number of siblings have gluten allergies, I know how hard it is to find yummy GF options, so I was a bit nervous. When our food arrived, I was SO impressed. It tasted so good and seemed so fresh and healthy.
We were incredibly impressed by the entire experience! My husband looked at me and smiled and said, "We will totally be coming here more often!"
We felt so welcomed and at home during our visit to Maryville, and Southern Grace coffee shop and restaurant are some of our new favorite places to go now!

There are too many beautiful little moments to family life and motherhood to let them pass by undocumented.
My name is Susannah, I am a follower of Christ, wife to my hardworking hubby, mama to two sweet little boys, and lover of photographs. I grew up in Illinois, spent my first few married years in Minnesota, and we relocated our young family to beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee in 2024.

Photos are about telling the story of your child's boisterous laughter, your newborn's curled fingers around your own, your daughter's special snuggle against her daddy's chest, the sun catching the curls bouncing as your toddler tumbles into your arms, & the tender warmth of being wrapped in your husband's embrace. These are the moments you'll want to remember!
I love to get to know you, the things that are special to you, the things that you want to remember, and tailoring sessions to each family to tell your story in an intentional and meaningful way.
